DAY ONE: MORNING (I) – TITLE: FEELING THE FUN

feelthefun-cover-100“WELL,  A WARM WELCOME to everyone and thank you for coming along.  These next three days promise to be something very special indeed.  We have with us, the renowned maverick of personal development, MAGNES JACK; so interesting times lie ahead.

Before we get started, just a few practical things to point out [toilets, fire exits etc].  Also, we will have a short break for 20 mins, mid-morning, so you can have a chance to do what you need to do.  Can I ask you also, to turn off any mobiles or any other beeping things that may go off during the seminar and these can be very distracting to everyone concerned.

Thank you very much.

Ok.  Without further ado, it is my great pleasure to introduce, the one and only, MAGNES JACK!”

[Applause]

MAGNES JACK: “Thank you very much indeed.  Three days seems like an awful long time as I sit here right now, but my firm intention is that at some point during these three days, each of you, will – one way or another – find a moment to pop your bubble, in such a way, that by the time you leave, you will do so with a wide open vista ahead of you, and a sense of this ocean of mysterious potential that you represent, just waiting to experience itself, here in the world, to make differences that are incredibly bold, locally felt with global consequences.

I want for you to create the examples for mankind to follow in the coming time.  You are needed, and now.

The world is rapidly going down the tubes, but this needs to happen, because as we shall no doubt discover over the next three days, that unless our back is against the wall, we will fight against change tooth and claw; and change is needed, within each and every one of us.

But that’s enough on the state of the world, which I have no other desire to speak about.  I am here, primarily, to speak with you about personal change.

Now, I know, and you know, that people find change difficult, a struggle, even a painful struggle.  Even the smallest little change can be tough.  Even those people who claim to have changed a great deal, will in their quiet moments, admit that in their heart of hearts, little has really changed.  They just did a really good decoration job.

So this is the context for our discussions, because unless we can come up with ways to tap into the unlimited potential of each and every person, we are headed for calamitous times, and the earth is too beautiful, not to be seen.

We have work to do.  But, this work doesn’t have to be so bloody painful.  Change doesn’t have to be that way necessarily.  And it comes down to our approach, and how we see things.  But I hope, that by the end of our time here together, you will have had the experience, at least three times, of changing something important for you, and it being fun!  That’s right, fun!  In the deepest sense of that word you can imagine.

Ok, I’ll stop there, and hand it over to you.  Where do you want to take this?

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF MAGNES JACK.

We begin with the, now infamous, three day seminar, in which the reclusive “guru” (not a word Magnes likes) is in good form with a whole host of questions from a wide range of participants.

Magnes explores questions about growing a business, healing a relationship, building self-esteem, handling the resistance to change, and any number of questions that each of us has faced at one time or another.

Magnes hopes that this seminar goes some way to supporting you in taking a different step.

As Magnes would say, “Just begin.”
